Brandon is a reporter at The Philadelphia Inquire focusing on the arts and culture scene in Philadelphia’s marginalized communities. He moved to Philly “to work with the Inquire to focus more on Balivty” (a community of the most exceptional multi-cultural creators and influencers in the world), “like what exhibits are at the museums or any cool and hip, i’m the go to person.”
I got the wonderful opportunity to meet Brandon during one of my Tuesday night Fashion Journalism classes. He talked about what he did for a living and how to talk and express your point of view as you write a column or blog post. It is so important to be able to voice your opinion when it comes to point of view writing. Starting off strong and ending strong is what keeps the reader engaged and focused throughout a piece. You want your audience to feel a connection towards your writing because it will keep them intrigued and bring them back to your page in the future.
