Puppets and Puppets New York Fashion Week show was overall oddly shocking as I watched the models walk down the runway. If you are into weird, and when I say weird I mean really weird, this designer is for you! The models for this collection strutted up and down the runway in eccentric, costume like jumpsuits and dresses that caught the crowds attention right away.
Designers Carly Mark and Ayla Argentina created their NYFW 2020 collection out of characters and illustrations that French cartoonist and graphic novel illustrator Jean Giraud had been working on. When it comes to beauty and make-up, Puppets and Puppets don’t hold back. Their bold blush and lipstick made the models faces pop with color but not taking anything away from the bright green silk jumpsuits.
The overall show was a total hit. It was weird and different but in the best way possible. The fashion industry needs more weirdness! It made me think these people are so serious about fashion, but are not serious about fashion. This show was super up-beat and kept my eyes glued to the television as their models walked the runway in their new 2020 collection.
